Amazon has the edge here with their Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) program. Products shipped from Amazon warehouses are generally more reliable in terms of authenticity. Flipkart has improved with Flipkart Assured, but I have received more questionable products from Flipkart sellers than Amazon ones.
Delivery Speed
Amazon Prime delivery is consistently faster in my experience. Same-day and next-day delivery actually works in most metro cities. Flipkart Plus offers similar promises but execution is less consistent — I have had Plus deliveries arrive a day late about 20 percent of the time.

Flipkart generally wins on electronics pricing, especially during Big Billion Days. Their exclusive phone launches (Xiaomi, Samsung M-series) often come with better deals. Amazon counters with better pricing on international brands, books, and household items.
Return and Refund
Amazon refund process is smoother — usually processed within 3-5 days to the original payment method. Flipkart has improved but still sometimes pushes you toward Flipkart credits instead of original payment refunds.

Flipkart dominates mobile phone sales in India. Their exchange program is better valued, EMI options are more flexible, and exclusive launches give them first-mover advantage on popular models.
Grocery
Amazon Fresh vs Flipkart Minutes — Amazon Fresh has better quality control and wider selection. Flipkart Minutes (formerly Flipkart Quick) is faster but selection is limited. Neither matches BigBasket or Blinkit for pure grocery shopping.
The Verdict
Use Flipkart for phones, electronics, and Indian brand fashion. Use Amazon for international products, books, Prime video, and when you need reliable fast delivery. Having accounts on both and comparing prices before every major purchase is the smart approach.
